Spring is inspired once again by both Bohemians and minimalists, due to their drastically different feel and timeless style. Some of the biggest names in fashion have mutually shared their love for the tallest gladiators and sueded peep-toe booties, all the way to the most simplified slides and structured mules (and by no means is the simple footwear boring)!
With warm weather approaching, it’s time to empty your piggy bank and spend that shoe money. After popping into Shoes on King and Copper Penny Shooz, I was able to capture some of this year’s most sought-after shoe trends, and certain well-loved styles have been taken to the next level.
Providing options aplenty for the boho-chic as well as the “less is more” devotee, Shoes on King and Copper Penny Shooz had pairs that I’m definitely “wish-listing”.
Fringe benefits, anyone? Take a cue from the 2015 spring/summer runway shows, and before long, you’ll notice the swish of fringe on everything from bags, to shoes, skirts, you name it. Here are some options that’ll easily work their way into your wardrobe (if you’re not the fringy type or simply want to “trend dabble”).
A little western and a lot of sass; these roll-down booties (above) from Copper Penny Shooz will transition beautifully from winter to spring, here in the South.
These suede Dolce Vita booties not only have the fringe, but features a zipper that lines the top, a peep-toe, and a great stacked heel. This neutral shoe will give edge to outfits that are more demure. Check them out at Shoes on King!
Taking a step further into perforated-suede heaven, these taupe beauties (below) are a definite go-to for spring 2015. You can find this pair by Campbell at Copper Penny Shooz.
Next, if you haven’t noticed, the gladiator is taking the shape of a taller, caged heel this year, and will work just as easily with your dresses, skirts, trousers, skinnies, etc., as would any other pair of heels. There are many styles to choose from, and these options from Shooz are neutral and vary in look, while remaining true on trend.
More minimal options include easy slides, peep-toe mules, and universally flattering ankle strap heels! (I can’t get enough of these!) The Dolce Vita “Breelyn” in both tan and poppy can be found at Shoes on King.
The Sam Edelman “Kylie” mule is also available at Shoes on King!
Last, but not least, an exciting surprise find while in Copper Penny Shooz — Zodiac Sandals by Rowen! They’ll serve as a great trade-off to your typical go-to’s for the summer. The stars have aligned; such a fun, colorful way to show your sign!
Happy shoe shopping!!
