Being a girl from the Upstate of South Carolina with a father who loves the coast just as much as I do, I learned about the all-American, coastal brand, Southern Tide, several years ago from him. The apparel brand, popular with all ages, was born in Greenville, South Carolina in 2006 by mutual lovers of coastal living. On Father’s Day, two years ago, all my father wanted was “more Southern Tide”. Now, all Charleston locals and visitors to Kiawah and Seabrook can get their hands on more Southern Tide at Freshfields Village thanks to Kiawah’s Island Sport! You can find this quaint shopping district at the crossroads between Seabrook and Kiawah Islands.
After their official grand opening last week, the first Southern Tide signature store now has their doors open to delight any boater, fisherman, casual coastal-wear lover, while catering to everyone — men, women, and children! The signature store carries everything from Costa Del Mar sunglasses, to swimwear, accessories, to dresses for women and classic seersucker blazers and bow ties for men.
Southern Tide officially has a stand-alone shop carrying everything to do with the brand’s heritage and style, suiting the person who favors the label and lifestyle, with options to (swim)suit every need. Yep! When you’re in the area to enjoy the sand or sail, you’ll easily find all of your necessities here.
Ladies, they carry those infamous “Skipjack” shirts and hats in women’s sizes, too. Same goes with their super comfy flops known as “Flipjacks”. (I had to get a pair for myself.) You’ll be able to find specialty lines like Escapada, among several others that include swimwear, coverups, shorts, sweaters — you name it! The store also stocks the Southern gal go-to in jewelry, Bourbon and Boweties.
Make a point to stop by the store sooner than later; they’re continuing their special grand-opening sale through tomorrow! Here are a couple of goodies they had on hand for those who attended the opening, including a gift with purchase:
Congratulations again to Kiawah’s Island Sport for opening Southern Tide’s first signature store! Folks are very happy to see the Skipjack sign hanging in Freshfields Village. If you aren’t already familiar with the logo, pop in and see why this brand is one of America’s fastest growing labels, born in the Palmetto State.
